Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the use of the BarLink service by bars and restaurants (the “Venue”). By requesting the starter kit or activating BarLink, you accept these terms.
1. The service
BarLink lets the Venue’s guests view the menu, order and pay from their phone via QR/NFC codes placed on the tables. Orders arrive already paid and print on the Venue’s thermal printers through a printing agent. BarLink is an additional ordering channel: it does not replace the Venue’s till or cash systems.
2. Onboarding and starter kit
- The starter kit (QR/NFC codes for 10 tables, one zone or the whole venue) is free, as is expanding it later.
- To operate with BarLink, the Venue must complete onboarding with Stripe, including any verification Stripe requires (KYC).
- The Venue is responsible for keeping its menu — items, prices, allergens — accurate and up to date. The AI-generated menu created from a photo must be reviewed before publishing.
3. Prices and fees
- BarLink charges the Venue no subscription and no commission of its own.
- Each online payment carries the standard Stripe fee (EEA cards: 1.5% + €0.25 per transaction; other rates per Stripe).
- The guest pays a BarLink usage fee of €0.10 per order, shown as a separate line before confirming payment.
- Menu prices are set freely by the Venue; BarLink does not alter them.
4. Payments and refunds
- Payments are processed by Stripe as payment service provider. BarLink does not hold the Venue’s funds.
- The Venue can issue full or partial refunds from BarLink. If a full order is refunded, the usage fee is refunded to the guest as well.
- Disputes and chargebacks are handled under the rules of Stripe and the card issuers.
5. Venue obligations
- Prepare and serve orders received through BarLink with the venue’s usual diligence.
- Comply with the regulations applicable to its business: food hygiene, alcohol sales, consumer information, invoicing and taxes.
- Mark sold-out items as unavailable and look after the guest if an order cannot be prepared (alternative or refund).
- Not use BarLink for unlawful activities or for products it is prohibited from selling.
6. Service availability
BarLink is provided “as is” and may experience interruptions due to maintenance, technical incidents or external causes (connectivity, Stripe, the venue’s hardware). The Venue’s traditional service does not depend on BarLink: if anything fails, tables can keep ordering from a waiter.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, BarLink’s total liability to the Venue is limited to the usage fees generated through the Venue in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. BarLink is not responsible for the quality of the products served or for the Venue’s regulatory compliance.
8. Term and termination
There is no lock-in. The Venue may deactivate BarLink at any time without penalty; BarLink may suspend or terminate the service in case of serious breach of these terms or where required by Stripe or applicable law, notifying the Venue.
9. Personal data
The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes
We may update these terms by publishing the new version on this page with its date. Material changes will be communicated to the Venue with reasonable notice; continued use of the service after they take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Unless mandatory rules provide otherwise, the parties submit to the courts of Barcelona.
