Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit the BarLink website or request your starter kit, why we process it, and what rights you have.

1. Data controller

BarLink (“BarLink”, “we”).

Privacy contact: hola@barlink.es.

2. What data we collect

Through the starter-kit request form we collect:

  • Name of your bar or venue.
  • Contact phone number.
  • The kit you chose and, where applicable, the number of tables to connect.
  • Your consent to receive tips by email, if you tick that box.

The website may also collect basic technical data (device type, browser) needed for it to work. We do not use advertising cookies.

3. Why we use your data

  • To handle your request: contacting you to prepare your kit and help you launch. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To send you practical tips for your bar, only if you have expressly agreed. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations that apply to us (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data. We only share it with providers that help us deliver the service:

  • Stripe — payment processing when you use BarLink at your venue. Stripe processes payment data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
  • Hosting and communications providers, under data-processing agreements (Art. 28 GDPR).

If any provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, it does so with appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or other GDPR mechanisms).

5. How long we keep your data

  • Request data: while we handle your onboarding and, afterwards, as long as needed to meet legal responsibilities.
  • Email for tips: until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe.
  • If the request does not go ahead, we delete the data within 12 months at most.

6. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability at any time by writing to hola@barlink.es.

You can also withdraw your consent without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing, and lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

7. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the updated version on this page with a new date. Significant changes will be communicated prominently.
